Han was born in Busan in 1981 and graduated from the Art Department of Silla University majoring in the Western painting. Presently, he is majoring in the Western painting at the Art Graduate School of Busan University. He held seven private exhibitions at Miboo Art Center, Avenuel Lounge of Lotte Department Stores, and so on except the planned invitation exhibition of Gallery Woo in April, 2015 and participated in the planned exhibition, “Point of view”, of Gallery Woo in 2015. Plus, he communicates with normal people while holding about 70 group exhibitions like “Art is now.” of Busan Benallie and participating in art fairs in Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Ulsan, and so forth. His work topic is defensive instinct by human relationship. He draws pictures by borrowing images of owls and conveys messages of communication as seeing the world with the viewpoint of owls.
People who avoid deep human relations have defensive instinct to always hide themselves and keep others at arm’s length. Then, because there is nothing to interrupt and bump against each other, there is not a strain. Also, there is nothing to be hurt from the opponent. Psychology of people who try to protect themselves while keeping some distance with others from the initial time of human relationship is called “hedgehog’s dilemma”.
I try to express the human psychology of this tendency through white owls. We say “communication” too easily, but I want to ask again how we are actually for the communication. To defend themselves means that their bodies stand apart from others although they say communication in words
